Scheduling Your Visit

Cigna does not allow IBCLCs to bill for the baby, so if both you and your baby will be at the visit, the amount of time covered for a single visit (45-60 min) may not be sufficient to fully evaluate both of you. A second visit is therefore almost always needed. Options include two 45–60 minute in-person visits, or keeping this full-in person visit (up to 90 min) and pairing it with a 15–30 minute telehealth visit.

This will likely not apply if only the parent needs care and/or if your baby has other in-network coverage.
